User Guide: Synchronizing Campaign Leads

This process ensures that every contact in your sending system has a unique Vidsell ID, allowing us to accurately track all video engagement data back to the correct lead.


Step 1: Import Your Contacts to Vidsell

  1. Navigate to the Leads Management section or your specific campaign in Vidsell.

  2. Click "Import CSV" and upload the contact list you intend to use in your outbound campaigns (e.g., from your CRM or email sending tool).

  3. Vidsell will process the file and automatically generate a unique identifier called the Vidsell_lead_id for every single contact on that list. This ID is the key to synchronizing your data.

Step 2: Prepare the File for Your Sending System

  1. After the import is complete, click the "Export" button to download the updated CSV file from Vidsell.

  2. This new file now includes all your original contact fields plus a new column containing the unique Vidsell_lead_id for each row.

Step 3: Map the Vidsell ID in Your Sending System

  1. Go back to your CRM or Outbound tool (e.g., HubSpot, Apollo, Lemlist).

  2. Import the new, updated CSV file from Step 2.

  3. When prompted to map the columns, ensure you map the Vidsell_lead_id column from the CSV to a corresponding custom variable or data field in your sending system.

💡 Note: For some tools with native integrations, this field may be synced automatically. Always check your integration settings to confirm the Vidsell_lead_id field is present.

Step 4: Utilize the ID in Your Video Campaigns

The Vidsell_lead_id is now securely attached to all your leads. You can use this ID in your email templates or outreach flows to ensure Vidsell can precisely track views, clicks, and conversions, and send that valuable engagement data back to your sending system.
